The Reason Why I Keep Smiling….

by Shalonda Gordon in Motivation

We all have a reason to Keep Smiling!

Today one of my fellow followers on TWITTER asked me why I always say keep smiling..and if I’m always smiling.

I feel I need to explain further.

See I have smiled often ever since I was a little girl. Truth be told.. I used to get in trouble for smiling so much..

When I was nervous I smiled..

when I was in trouble I smiled.

When I was angry I smiled..

when I was actually happy I smiled.

So Yes I’m seriously that person that makes the phrase keep smiling an action in my life.

Need a reason to smile.. check out my Youtube Channel I’m sure you will find a reason to keep smiling there..

Today I choose to keep smiling because a smile seems to help me get re-focused on what is important in my life.

My family, my friends, my beliefs, are all important to me..

When I keep smiling.. if I’m having a bad day.. it reminds me of a time with things weren’t so bad.. or how funny it was when things were bad and I simply remembered to keep smiling…LOL

That can really trip a person up when they know that they are completely wrong and you shoot a smile at them…LOL, and then keep smiling through out the rest of your day.

It totally catches them off guard..LOL.. The only thing that kind of annoys me about my ability to keep smiling… is that my 12 and 6 year old daughters have picked up my ability to keep smiling, no matter what the situation.. which means there are MANY times when they are straight in trouble, and they sit there with this smile on their faces….

it just isn’t cool at all..

yet then I look up and thank God for showing me exactly what my mother went through..

and that I have the opportunity to raise  Ladies that will know the joys of what happens when you keep smiling…

I must admit there are times when it seems hard to keep smiling.

Well, I ask you what makes it so hard?

Is it that you can’t see past your current situation?

Have you ever made a decision to keep smiling through a situation and found that “This too shall pass”..

I mean seriously things are only as bad as we allow them to become..

So I challenge you today to take a different approach.

I’ve found that smiling and laughing are definite gifts. It seems that the harder it gets the harder I laugh but like yourself I would get in trouble for laughing too much :-). Great article!

Well about your smile! When you go into a store to purchase something, or you look at a profile you don’t want to see drab. You want to see someone who is enthusiastic about what they are doing. Your profile picture shows that, you standout, which makes it very forthcoming for someone to lean your way in a crowd of individuals doing the same thing. You want to see someone with personality. Its nice to see the smiles, because heaven knows when I worked out in the job market before I decided to become a VA, I didn’t see alot of smiles. The stress of the economy turned alot of business owners grumpy so to speak. Keep up the smiles its nice to see.
